Auto Grid Bots are available for USDT Futures and Coin Futures, and are capable of opening IN-orders in both directions — Long and Short. During the initial setup, you choose the direction only for the first IN-order.

### Types of Auto Grid Bots

Last Order PNL — works based on two main rules:

1. **Direction based on the PNL of the previous IN-order:**

* If the PNL of the last closed IN-order is positive, the bot opens a new IN-order in the same direction (Long or Short).
* If the PNL is negative, the bot opens an IN-order in the opposite direction.

2. **Restriction on opposite orders if an Out-stop is still open:**

* The bot will not open orders in the opposite direction if there is an unclosed Out-stop.
* You can check for open Out-stops in the statistics section with the chart.

***

**Avg Price** — the bot determines the direction of new IN-orders based on the Average Price of the position:

* If the current price is above the average price, the bot opens Long orders.
* If the current price is below the average price, the bot opens Short orders.

***

**Avg Price Inverse** — also uses the average price, but works in reverse:

* If the current price is above the average price, the bot opens Short orders.
* If the current price is below the average price, the bot opens Long orders.

#### Key Notes & Recommendations

* The bot builds a position against the price movement, taking advantage of small fluctuations that may not be visible on higher timeframes.
* Be sure you fully understand the bot's logic before launching it.
* Auto Grid bots are considered more versatile than Default bots and perform well in sideways markets. However, it may take time before they reach profitability.

#### Auto Grid Statistics Overview

In the summary statistics, you can see the number of open IN-orders in both directions:

* "First / Last trigger" — for Long orders
* "FirstS / LastS trigger" — for Short orders

During operation, the position may flip between Long and Short based on the dominant direction of active IN-orders.\
If Long and Short positions are equal, the net position is zero and won’t be displayed on the exchange — but it's visible in the bot’s statistics separately for each side.
